The Devil's Advocate: Conversations with the Reverend Chuck Rush,
a talk show that brings leading experts from the region together for a lively discussion of the top moral, social, and spiritual issues facing the world today, airs on local cable Channel 36. The show is hosted by the Reverend Charles T. Rush from Christ Church in Summit. Monthly episodes are aired on Mondays at 8:00 PM, Wednesdays at 9:00 PM, Thursdays at 11:00 PM, Fridays at 8:30 PM, and Saturdays at 7:30 and 10:30 PM.
"We want to provide Summit with a forum to discuss the major moral and spiritual issues that affect us as individuals and as members of the broader community," said Reverend Rush. "We are fortunate to live in an area that is home to many of the country's most interesting thinkers. We are hoping to be able to attract many of them to the show to share their views."
Past shows have featured interviews with Alex Gibney, the award-winning producer of the documentary, "Enron, the Smartest Guys in the Room," Cedric Jennings on his rise from poverty to the Ivy League, and Professor Cynthia Rosenzweig of the Goddard Space Institute, who discussed Global Warming. Other issues addressed on "The Devil's Advocate" have included Understanding Islam, the Newark mayoral election and the growth of conservative Christianity.
