Everyone is welcome in the sanctuary—every age, every stage.
If children need a space to move around and make noise, our nursery is open. There, children can play and their caregivers can watch the service live-streamed from the sanctuary.
Children ages 2 thru Grade 1 are invited to participate in our Church Mice Choir after the all-ages message. Sunday School begins just before the sermon, when children up to Grade 6 are invited to learn and grow together.
After the service, we gather for coffee hour — a relaxed time to enjoy good conversation, connect with others, and build friendships.
Come as you are and dress however you feel comfortable.
Anything from a T-shirt and shorts to black tie is welcome!
Most adults typically wear smart casual attire on Sundays. People often dress up for Easter and Christmas, but on other occasions, you’ll feel just as comfortable in jeans, dress pants or a skirt.
During communion, we come together at the front of the church. Our deacons will provide individual servings of grape juice and cracker wafers, so we can partake as one family. Many in our congregation describe this time as deeply meaningful—a moment of peace, hope, and a beautiful sense of community
Communion is served the first Sunday of the month, and everyone is welcome at our table.
We are a community rooted in profound hospitality, where everyone is truly welcome. Our members come from a variety of faith traditions, and we embrace that diversity with joy. There’s no formal process to join—just let us know when you’re ready. We love celebrating new members during our New Member Sundays, but becoming part of our church family is as simple as saying, “I’d like to join.”
Contact Laura or Rev. Julie for more information about church membership.
We have something for everyone! Check out our Ministries page to discover opportunities for all ages—like our choirs, the Love & Faith Alliance (LAFA), Quest, and intergenerational programs.
We also offer meaningful service opportunities with local and global partners, regular community-building events such as dinners, gatherings, and concerts, and our Justice ministry engages the questions of our time: caring for creation, the dignity of every person, and our responsibility to neighbors near and far. Together, these opportunities reflect our commitment to living out faith both within our congregation and in the wider world.
The best way to discover if Christ Church feels like home is to experience it yourself.

Talk to our members and you’ll hear wonderful stories—some came for the sermons and stayed for the music, others arrived for their children and found a spiritual home for themselves.
However you come, there’s a place here for you.
Fully and without reservation. Christ Church has been an Open and Affirming congregation since 1999, which means we don’t just tolerate LGBTQ members, we celebrate them as full participants in the life of our church, including leadership, marriage, and all sacraments. If you’ve been told elsewhere that your identity and your faith are incompatible, we’d gently suggest you haven’t found the right church yet.
Many of our members share exactly that story. They grew up with a faith that shaped them deeply, but reached a point where the theology or the politics of their former community no longer felt like home. At Christ Church, you don’t have to leave your tradition at the door — we have members who still love the liturgy, the music, and the sacraments of their upbringing. What they’ve found here is a community where those things coexist with genuine welcome, social justice, and intellectual honesty about faith.
Yes. Christ Church is a Christian church in the fullest sense. We are affiliated with both the United Church of Christ and the American Baptist Churches, giving us roots in two of America’s historic Protestant traditions. The UCC traces its lineage to the Pilgrims; the American Baptist Churches represent one of the country’s oldest free church traditions. Both are theologically grounded in the gospel while being broadly open in how members understand and live their faith. You can learn more about the UCC at ucc.org. What you’ll find at Christ Church is worship centered on scripture, prayer, music, and communion — alongside a community committed to living those values in the world.
We honor the milestones of faith—from baptism and marriage to memorial and burial services—with care, compassion, and joy. You do not need to be a member of Christ Church. Contact Brenda for information and scheduling.
Christ Church opens its doors to the wider community, offering welcoming, flexible spaces for worship, music, education, and events that inspire connection. Our recurring rentals serve select nonprofit and spiritual organizations, while community members often reserve our halls and classrooms for special celebrations.
