Faith in Action

Learn more about our worship and ministry offerings

Our worship centers us; our ministries connect and sustain us. Together they shape a living faith that reaches beyond Sunday mornings.

Our music ministry is integral to worship at Christ Church, where three choirs bring the congregation’s voice to life: the Chancel Choir, Genesis Choir, and Church Mice. We are also privileged to be home to acclaimed composer Mark Miller, whose music is sung in congregations across the country. Here, beloved traditional hymns and newly composed sacred music find each other in the same service, Sunday after Sunday.

Deacons sustain the spiritual life of Christ Church by preparing communion, delivering altar flowers, and caring for members in times of joy and need. We carry Christ Church’s care beyond Sunday mornings with flower deliveries to those who are homebound, recovering, grieving, or celebrating milestones.

If you are drawn to a quiet ministry of presence and care, consider serving as a deacon. For more information, contact Barry Pilgrim.

Faith Formation cultivates spiritual growth across all ages—from children’s discovery to intergenerational programming. Through worship, learning, and shared service, we explore what it means to live faithfully in today’s world and nurture a lifelong journey of curiosity, compassion, and hope.

Visual and performing arts have the power to strengthen spiritual life and deepen community ties. Prayers set to music echo in people’s hearts, and music is central to Christ Church’s spiritual practice. In worship services and concerts across the seasons, we practice faith in song.

Our Music & Fine Arts Committee offers a wide range of music and arts programming, from art shows and intergenerational creative activities to beloved annual events such as the Let Justice Roll concert, Juneteenth Gospel Brunch, and Holiday Cabaret.

Artists and enthusiastic arts supporters of all kinds welcome! For more information or to get involved, contact Anne Salorio.

Perfectly Imperfect Yoga is a weekly practice of body, mind, and spirit. Join us Friday evenings in Christ Chapel (inside Lile Hall), for an hour of gentle movement and mindfulness in a supportive, judgment-free space. Beginners welcome.

For more information, contact Bola Lawrence.

Members of the Prayer Chain receive a weekly email with the joys and concerns of our congregation and the wider world. Participants pray independently, offering quiet reflection and spiritual support throughout the week. This ministry provides a simple but meaningful way to hold others in prayer.

Quest is a women’s fellowship that explores spiritual topics through books, media, and conversation. Gathering monthly (often over a meal), Quest blends intellectual engagement with genuine friendship. Recent meetings have featured book and film discussions, as well as off-site dinners. All women are welcome—come when you can.

World Fellowship (formerly BWF) extends Christ Church’s care into the wider world through intentional, targeted giving and volunteer engagement. Each January, we offer the Three Kings gift to a charity selected by the congregation; each Lent, we collect for the SOS Fund. Every three years, we award the Margaret Baker gift to a promising local organization, typically in education, in honor of the teacher whose generosity funds this gift. We also bring volunteer opportunities to the congregation and respond to emerging needs as they arise.

For more information, contact Anne Kennison.

On December 14, 2025, members of the Congregation reflected on our year of service.

2025 Service Reflections

Worship Services

Everything begins on Sunday mornings. Join us for worship every Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

Everyone is welcome in the sanctuary—every age, every stage.
If children need a space to move around and make noise, our nursery is open. There, children can play and their caregivers can watch the service live-streamed from the sanctuary.

Children ages 2 thru Grade 1 are invited to participate in our Church Mice Choir after the all-ages message. Sunday School begins just before the sermon, when children up to Grade 6 are invited to learn and grow together.

After the service, we gather for coffee hour — a relaxed time to enjoy good conversation, connect with others, and build friendships.

Communion is offered the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome at the table. For more information, see our FAQs.
